AJC's First Annual General Meeting

Adopts Bylaws and Confirms Results of Governing Council Election

The results are in! All motions presented at the Association of Justice Council first AGM held on April 24, 2012 have been adopted. As a result, the AJC now has a new set of bylaws and a newly elected Governing Council to run the affairs of the Association.
AJC members actively participated in the AGM, half of the attendance was there in person and half via webcast. The recorded webcast of the AGM is now available on our web site for registered members of the Association.
The Governing Council will now elect a new Executive Committee. Results of this election will be announced on May 17. Past GC members have kindly accepted to support newly elected members in order to facilitate a smooth transition, including functions accomplished by the various AJC committees, negotiations for the renewal of the Collective Agreement, ERA charter Challenge and recent WFA notices to name a few.
The AGM provided an opportunity to recognize and show appreciation to GC members who completed their term. A high note of the AGM was the presentation of the first Award for Outstanding Contribution to the AJC to Daniel Kuhlen for his contributions to the Governing Council and to the Executive as VP Finance and previously VP Membership.
The next meeting of the AJC Governing Council will take place on May 17.
