What has been going on in the last few years is truly unprecedented
For this year's
National Public Service Week (NPSW), the AJC joins other federal unions to send a message to the government: respect our rights!
What has been going on in the last few years is truly unprecedented.
* Two years ago, TB President, Tony Clement, chose the opening of the 2013 edition of NPSW to announce his intention to change the sick leave regime, alleging that federal public servants abuse the system.
* Since then, the government has used 'omnibus' budget bills to bring about drastic changes to labour legislation infringing on our constitutional right to collectively bargain (C-4, C-59).
Let's use NPSW to send a message: Public servants deserve respect.
Tell Tony Clement to stop his attack on our rights.
