Delays in Retroactive Payout at HRSDC: The AJC Files a Policy Grievance

The AJC has filed a policy grievance on account of the Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) failure to pay federal public service lawyers their retroactive pay due on June 12. These retroactive payouts for the 2012-2013 fiscal year were recently moved up from July 10 to June 12.

As you may recall, the AJC had written to all agencies and departments to alert them to the new collective agreement (see prior communique). We also invited them to consult the AJC's website or contact the AJC, in the unlikely event that Treasury Board's direction to departments and agencies had not yet been provided.

The AJC has been informed that some members working in HRSDC have yet to receive their retroactive payouts to which they are entitled. Our members have been waiting for these salary adjustments since 2011.

The AJC will keep you informed of further developments.
