LA Collective Agreement Expires

All Terms Frozen Until New Deal or Arbitration

On Monday, May 9th, 2011, the LA collective agreement for federal government lawyers expired. However, all terms and conditions of employment included in the collective agreement are frozen by operation of s.107 of the Public Service Labour Relations Act. This means none of the terms and conditions can be changed until a new agreement is reached through collective bargaining, or should a settlement not be forthcoming, through arbitration.
