On Monday, June 8th, Voice Your Concern over Bill C-59

AJC Members Invited to Join Their President at a noon-hour Rally in Front of the PMO

Your AJC president, Len MacKay, will be joining other  federal bargaining agents as they picket the Prime Minister's Office next Monday, June 8th, at noon, over the omnibus budget Bill C-59.

The AJC will lend its support to this rally organized by the Canadian Association of Professional Employees (CAPE).  Other federal unions are expected to attend.

WHAT: Fight Bill C-59 Rally
WHEN: Monday, June 8th 2015, at noon
WHERE: 80 Wellington Street, Ottawa

Time is running out: the government intends to pass Bill C-59 by June 26.  That means we have less than three weeks to stop them.

The AJC and other federal unions are taking a stand because we believe Division 20 of Bill C-59 violates your constitutionally protected right to collectively bargain and we are lobbying to have this Division rescinded.

The government intends to impose a new sick leave regime without consultation and it will affect you directly, as a federal public servant.

Together, we are the AJC and must stand together to ensure that government respects and promotes the protection of Canadians' Charter rights.
