AJC-Treasury Board Bargaining Update #4

TB formally tabled its sick leave proposal, the same proposal that was widely covered in the news

Dear AJC colleagues,

By way of update, the AJC negotiation team (NT) met with Treasury Board on Tuesday, October 7.

At that meeting, TB formally tabled its sick leave proposal, the same proposal that was widely covered in the news. (For example in this Ottawa Citizen article from September 11, 2014).

We gave them feedback on this sick leave proposal. We also provided TB with more information around our earlier proposals.  We expect TB to reply in due course after they consider this information and our comments on sick leave.

The next dates for bargaining are tentatively scheduled for late November.

As we have stated in our last bargaining update, until we reach a new deal, the present AJC collective agreement applies. The terms of your AJC collective agreement cannot be modified during the bargaining process.

You should feel free to send any questions or comments to the negotiation team at lmackay@ajc-ajj.ca

Your AJC President,
Len MacKay
