AJC Update on DOJ's Infopersonnels - Bulletin Nos. 557 and 563

These Infopersonnel bulletins are being issued months after the lockstep increases and performance awards were implemented

The Department of Justice (DOJ) recently distributed its Infopersonnels - Bulletins No. 557 and 563 to provide information on the 2013-2014 Performance Pay Plan for employees in the various LP groups.  These Infopersonnel bulletins are being issued months after the lockstep increases and performance awards were implemented. Copies are attached here for ease of reference.

While the AJC was given the opportunity to provide comments before their distribution, several points remain in contention, including the provisions relating to employees on maternity or parental leave without pay which are currently the subject of a policy grievance.

This policy grievance was heard by the Public Service Labour Relations Board on September 2nd, 2014.  Despite our disagreement, DOJ has chosen to proceed with the distribution of these bulletins.   It is for this reason that we are issuing this notice.

Should the employer have failed to grant you your lockstep pay increase or performance award in accordance with the collective agreement, please fill out an incident report and send it to admin@ajc-ajj.ca for review by one of our labour relations officers.
