The AJC Has Received Treasury Board's Proposal on Sick Leave

This proposal is obviously unsatisfactory on every point

Many media reports are out today on Treasury Board's initial proposal for sick leave.

Just like the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), the AJC also received the sick leave proposal yesterday (Wednesday, September 10, 2014).

This proposal is obviously unsatisfactory on every point: it offers fewer sick days, no carryover and it includes gaps in salary protection.

We are looking at this carefully, but it is clear from the outset that this is a first proposal and it's not acceptable.

The AJC will work diligently to protect the hard-earned benefits of its members.
