The AJC and Treasury Board Settle the Policy Grievance Relating to the Correct Vacation Pay Rate of Pay

The AJC will be notifying those LPs who responded to AJC's 2012 call to self-identify

NOTICE TO LPs WHO ON JULY 27, 2010 HAD VACATION LEAVE CREDITS IN EXCESS OF 262.5 HOURS - REVISED APPLICATION OF SECTION 17.08

In 2012, the AJC filed a policy grievance in relation to vacation leave credit payouts made pursuant to section 17.08(b) of the collective agreement to LPs who on July 27, 2010 had vacation leave credits in excess of 262.5 hours.

This grievance has since been settled on a without prejudice basis by the parties so that on a go-forward basis, any payment made pursuant to paragraph 17.08(b) of the LA collective agreement after March 31 shall be paid out at the lawyer's salary rate as calculated from the classification prescribed in the certificate of appointment of the lawyer's substantive position on that same March 31st.

The AJC will be notifying those LPs who responded to AJC's 2012 call to self-identify in order to advise them on whether they should expect retroactive pay adjustments from their employing department.
