Delays in Retroactive Payouts: Treasury Board Takes Responsibility and Will Bring Corrective Measures

In its letter to the AJC, Treasury Board (TB) has taken responsibility for the delays in the retroactive payouts these last few months, and has promised the AJC it will take corrective measures to avoid a future recurrence.

This announcement by TB comes after two policy grievances were filed by AJC on June 26 and July 3, 2013.

As you may recall, these grievances were aimed at Human Resources and Skills Development Canada and Veterans Affairs Canada because AJC members working in those department faced delays in getting their retroactive payouts for the 2012-2013 fiscal year.

This response brings these matters to a final close.
