AJC By-Election Results - NCR By-Election Called for February 13

Congratulations to the following AJC members who have been acclaimed as a Governing Council Representatives:

  • Gilese Turner - Nunavut Region
  • Gregory Harlow - Calgary Region
  • Nadine Silverman - Ontario Region
Anyone wishing to dispute these acclamations should forward their objection and basis of their objection to the AJC Election Officer at admin@ajc-ajj.com within 7 days following the date of this notice.

New Representatives will be called to assume their duties at the next GC meeting. They will be contacted by the AJC shortly.

National Capital Region By-Election - Vote to be Held February 13, 2013

We received 6 nominations for the 2 vacancies in the National Capital Region. A vote will be held on February 13 2013. Voting instructions will be provided by email to all registered members of the Association of Justice Counsel at their last known email address. Please ensure that if you have recently changed your contact information, that you update your profile online via AJC's website.

The candidates are:

  • Michael De Santis
  • Marlyse Dumel
  • Myriam Girard
  • Lanise Hayes
  • Samantha Reynolds
  • Seetal Sunga

To be entitled to vote and access biographical information, you must have filled out a membership application form. If you have not filled out a membership application form, please do so at your earliest opportunity by filling out and returning the Membership Form to admin@ajc-ajj.com or by facsimile at 613-564-0606.

Please note that since the incorporation of the AJC under the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, each member now has a right to vote for GC representatives in each region in accordance with the unchanged representational formula set out in the bylaws. Accordingly, all members will receive voter instructions for the NCR vacancies.
