ERA Charter Challenge: AJC Will Reply to the Attorney General's Submission

On October 9, 2012, the Association of Justice Counsel applied for leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada from the Judgment of the Court of Appeal for Ontario on the ERA Charter Challenge made on August 7, 2012. More information on the AJC's application is available from our communique dated October 11.

On November 6, 2012, the Attorney General filed a submission requesting that the application for leave be dismissed. In its response, the employer is mischaracterizing the AJC's position and arguments to a point where the AJC feels the need to file a reply and will do so within the timeframe allowed under the rules.
